SALT Report 1169 – A Missouri special session bill that would have cut corporate taxes, created new income taxes, and provided new sales and use tax incentives has died.
Senate Bill 8 was an attempt to attract new, and keep existing, businesses and jobs in the state. The bill was previously amended and approved by the Missouri House of Representatives however, the Senate adjourned on October 25, 2011, without passing the bill. In Missouri bills do not carry over from one session to the next therefore, any bill that did not pass is considered dead.
