Arizona – Tax Forms Now Contain Use Tax Reporting Line

SALT Report 1404 – The Arizona Department of Revenue issued a publication regarding use tax reporting requirements for purchases made over the Internet, through toll-free numbers, from mail-order catalogs, and from out-of-state locations.

In 2011, the Arizona Legislature passed a law making it easier for individuals to pay their Use Tax by including a line on Form 140, 140A and 140EZ.  The 2011 Tax Year is the first year that individuals will be able to report their use tax liability on their Arizona tax returns.

The publication also contains a worksheet to help taxpayers calculate the amount of use tax due.
