SALT Report 1943 – The New York State Tax Department announced a series of free webinars that will help familiarize Taxpayers with the state’s new sales tax web file system. The new web file system will improve the way returns and schedules, including late and amended returns, can now be filed.
The current Webinar schedule is as follows:
December 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
December 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
December 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
December 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
The Webinars will address the additional information requirements regarding responsible persons, as well taxable and non-taxable sales, amended returns, and credits or claims for refund. The new reporting requirements will be phased in through May 2013 and will become mandatory with the June-August 2013 filing period.
You must register with the Department if you’d like to participate in one of the webinars. Registration closes one hour prior to the start time.
