Arkansas – Exemption for Sales to Nonprofit Blood Donation Organizations

SALT Report 2420 – An Arkansas sales and use tax exemption has been enacted for sales of tangible personal property or services to nonprofit blood donation organizations. The term “nonprofit blood donation organization” is defined as an organization that:

  • Is operated for the purpose of obtaining, collecting, separating, treating, testing, storing, processing, preparing for transfusing, furnishing, donating, or distributing human blood or parts or fractions of single blood units or products derived from single blood units, and
  • Is registered as a blood establishment with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
