North Dakota – Requirement to Electronically File Monthly Returns

SALT Report 2359 – On April 8, 2013 the Kentucky Governor signed a Bill that requires retailers to file their monthly sales and use tax returns electronically. A retailer that does not comply with the requirement to file their returns electronically is deemed to have failed to file and will be subject to penalties and interest. This requirement affects all businesses that have been issued a sales tax permit and are required to file a monthly return because their total taxable sales for the preceding calendar year exceed $333,000.

The provisions in this Bill apply to all reporting periods after December 31, 2013.
