Hawaii – Public Hearing for Proposed Cash Economy Enforcement Rules

SALT Report 2546 – The Hawaii Department of Taxation is holding a public hearing to address the proposed Cash Economy Enforcement Administrative Rules for purposes of state administered taxes. The proposed rules will amend the Cash Economy Enforcement laws under sections 231-91 through 231-100, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

During the hearing the Department will address the proposed requirements for issuing cease-and-desist citations, complying with a citation, the manner in which hearings to protest a citation should be conducted, and deadlines requirements related to these hearings.
