Washington – Commute Trip Reduction Credit Extended

SALT Report 2537 – The Washington State Legislature recently enacted legislation that extends the commute trip reduction credit against Washington business and occupation tax and public utilities tax until June 30, 2014. The credit was scheduled to expire June 30, 2013.

The credit is available to employers who provide incentives to their employees who use public transportation, or ride sharing, car sharing, and non-motorized forms of transportation to commute to work.
