Colorado – Sales and Use Tax Workshop for Contractors

SALT Report 2734 – The Colorado Department of Revenue issued a reminder about an upcoming workshop for the construction industry. The event will be hosted by the National Association of Credit Managers and the Colorado Department of Revenue.

The workshop will focus on Colorado sales and use tax laws as they apply to the construction industry.  For example, topics include:

  • Lump-sum contracts and time and material contracts,
  • Sales/use tax collection,
  • Working with tax-exempt organizations,
  • What’s taxable and not taxable,
  • Potential use tax liabilities, and
  • Available resources

The workshop is designed for current and previous business owners in the construction industry who have sales and use tax knowledge.  However, you will still benefit from the workshop if you have attended the Sales/Use Tax Class – Part I.
