Connecticut – to Begin Collecting Sales Tax as of Nov. 1st

SALT Report 3128 – An agreement was made between and the State of Connecticut wherein the online retailer will, beginning November 1, 2013, start collecting and remitting the state’s sales tax which is currently 6.35%. also has plans to invest $50 million in a Connecticut distribution center which will eventually create hundreds of new jobs.  According to Connecticut’s Commissioner of Revenue Services, Kevin Smith, “We’re looking at a first year revenue number of $15 million.”1
