California—Michelle Steel Announces Emergency Tax Relief Available for Business Owners Affected by Fires in San Diego County

SALT Report 3379 – The California State Board of Equalization is offering relief to business owners and fee payers affected by the wildfires in San Diego County.   If you lost your home, business, or tax records in the wildfire you may request an extension of time to file your returns as well as relief from penalties and interest.

Taxpayers can file their request for relief online; however, those without Internet access may call the BOE customer service center direct at 1-800-400-7115.

Vice Chair Michelle Steel will be offering help to those impacted by the wildfires by hosting a free, Small Business Seminar from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Tuesday June 10, 2014 in the Carlsbad City Library’s Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium, 1775 Dove Lane, Carlsbad, CA 92011.
