Massachusetts – 2014 Sales Tax Holiday Saturday, Aug. 16 and Sunday Aug. 17

SALT Report 3440 – For two days sales of most items costing $2,500 or less in the state of Massachusetts will not be subject to sales or use taxes.  These items must be tangible personal property purchased for personal use only.  The following items do not qualify for the tax exemption: all motor vehicles, motorboats, meals, telecommunications services, gas, steam, electricity, tobacco products, and any single items in excess of $2,500.
