Idaho – Online Sales and Use Tax Hike: Bill Introduced To Join Streamline Sales Tax Governing Board

Salt Report 3597 – Rep. Lance Clow (Idaho State Representative 24A) has introduced H0283 Statement Of Purpose RS23681 in the House Revenue and Taxation Committee looking to add Idaho to a “national working group tasked with helping states prepare for their regulations for any Internet sales taxes that might come.”  With Idaho joining the Streamline states the dialogue continues to gain momentum in the search for a national solution to the lost revenues of e-commerce.

If the bill passes, Idaho estimates an additional $30 to 50 million per year if the federal Marketplace Fairness Act of 2015 were to pass.
