Oklahoma – OKC’s sales tax falls short of its budget target

“Oklahoma City’s sales tax collections are up over this time last year but still short of budget projections.

Combined with last month’s shortfall, sales tax is running about $846,000 behind what was expected for the first two months of the fiscal year.

The city took in about $18.8 million in sales taxes for the general fund, up 2.4 percent from August 2014. The budget target was for 2.9 percent growth.”
