South Carolina – Tax Collections Up 7.3% Over Last Fiscal Year

SALT Report 3702 – State Controller Richard Eckstrom announced today that revenue collections for state government’s General Fund increased a robust $472 million, or 7.3 percent, over the previous fiscal year. Most of that growth came from increased individual income tax receipts ($238 million or 8.1 percent growth) and sales and use tax receipts ($140 million or 5.6 percent growth).
