Oklahoma – OkTAP Account Holder New 2-Step Authentication Process

SALT Report 3716 – The Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) has added an enhanced security feature–a two-step authentication process–to protect OTC online accounts.

Beginning in August 2015, OkTAP account holders will be prompted to enter a temporary authentication code when logging in to their accounts. Account holders will have the option to receive their authentication code either through email or SMS text message. For convenience, account holders will also be offered the choice to register their device during this process.  The registration process will allow the system to recognize a device during future TAP sessions. If account holders choose not to register their device, then they will complete the two-step authentication process during each TAP account logon.
