Texas – $616.2 Million In Local Tax Distributions For October 2015 Are Down .9% Compared To October 2014

SALT Report 3726 – On October 7, 2015, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hagar announced the distribution of local sales tax allocations to cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts of $616.2 million.

“The modest growth in state sales tax revenue, in line with the Biennial Revenue Estimate issued in January, continues the trend of recent months,” Hegar said. “Stronger growth in collections from the retail trade, restaurant, services and construction sectors offset declines from the oil and gas-related industries.”
