Wisconsin – Online Retailers Haven’t Adjusted to Brown County’s Tax Change

“Some people in Brown County are realizing that when it comes to online purchases, they’re still being charged the half percent sales tax that the county got rid of more than a month ago.

Fifty cents was all it took for Tim Nass of Allouez to realize that not all retailers are getting the new Brown County sales tax rate right.

“I made an online purchase to purchase some jeans and my total came to almost a hundred dollars,” said Nass. “I looked at the tax at the bottom, and the tax was more than it should’ve been.”
