SALT Report 3749 – In their effort to simplify the reporting and payment of the Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) the state of Arizona is requiring all state TPT taxpayers to renew their licenses with the Department of Revenue and to continue to renew licenses with the appropriate City. The Department will be sending forms and instructions over the coming months until the transition is completed.
Every business licensed with the Arizona DOR is required to renew their Arizona TPT license. The TPT license is valid for one calendar year and must be renewed annually. The renewal is due January 1, 2016. No payment or fee is required for the renewal. This year the AZ DOR will automatically renew and mail the new TPT license certificate in January of 2016.
If there are no changes to your account no further action is required this year. However, action is required if you have any of the following changes this year:
- Cancellation of account
- No Fee Changes – Update Owners, Officers, Members and mailing address information, Change to Business or DBA name,
- Fee Changes – Change to the business location address, The addition of a new reporting jurisdiction (City), The addition of a new business or rental location
