Pennsylvania – Wayfair Collecting Sales Taxes Beginning May 1, 2017

According to a Pennsylvania Pressroom release dated May 24, 2017 – Wayfair, Inc. has agreed to collect and remit sales tax from shoppers who live in Pennsylvania beginning May 1, 2017. Wayfair is the 16th largest online retailer in the country and this move follows Amazon’s April 1, 2017 agreement to collect sales tax in all taxing states. The growing online marketplace is continuing to challenge the longstanding nexus standards of physical presence set forth in the 1992 US Supreme Court Case (Quill v North Dakota).
