Missouri – Former Operator Of Pizza Place In Joplin Sentenced For Tax Evasion

Maaria Nyazee pleads guilty and is sentenced today for tax fraud. She owned Redbrick Pizza (Brick Two, LLC) when it operated inside the Northpark Mall in Joplin, Missouri.  The pizza place closed in March of 2017.

According to court documents, Nyazee registered Redbrick Pizza as a fictitious name in 2015. Authorities say between November 2015 and December 2016, she failed to remit sales tax owed to the state of Missouri. Bank records show Nyazee transferred funds from the business account to her personal account. The state revoked her sales tax license on November 9th, 2016.
