Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $763.8 million in local sales tax allocations for January, four percent more than in January 2019. These allocations are based on sales made in November by businesses that report tax monthly.
Of the reported total, $1,457,381.79 will be distributed throughout Orange County.
Two entities were slightly less than what was collected for the same period last year and for the total payments for year to date. West Orange and Orange County received less than one percent less.
