New York – NY DOTAF Responds to CV19 Outbreak April 2, 2020 – Sales Tax Returns Penalties and Interest May Be Waived

Governor Cuomo has put New York State on PAUSE. All non-essential workers are directed to work from home and everyone is required to maintain a 6 foot distance from others in public.

Sales tax vendors – Sales tax payments and returns were due March 20, 2020; however, penalty and interest may be waived for quarterly and annual filers who were unable to file or pay on time due to COVID-19.
