Tennessee- Sales Tax Data Shows Mixed Results from COVID-19

The most recent sales tax data from the Upper Cumberland start to show the impact COVID-19 has had on Putnam County, but only the City of Cookeville has seen a drop from the previous year.

Data from the Department of Revenue shows that Putnam County and the four municipalities in the county collected $3,594,776.28 in April, down from $3,826,366.06 the year prior.

State revenues for April were $1.3 billion, down 39.75 percent when compared to last year.
